Journey on the way to Turkey

Woke up this morning to a really omelette and some cereal prepared by my sister Adaora, than made all the last minute checks to see if I had my travel documents, shoes, clothes and etc in my bag. My mom kept asking me if I needed anything basically being the wonderful mother she has always been, the answer was always no though lol. We were out of the door by 9:00 am heading towards the airport with the exception of a few errands we had to run. We talked about how things we starting to fall in place for everyone in he family this year and that hopefully his would be another great year, which I agreed with. When we got to the airport Adaora helped me unload my bags and carry them to the United Airlines check in desk, where we were met with several surprises on how you got charged for your second bag on this international flight and how much it cost to get an exit row. Before a both of these options were free so, you can understand why were caught off guard. The price for extra bag was $100 and $129 for emergency exit row seat, I paid for the extra bag but kindly declined the extra seat, saying to myself the trip will only be 3+ hrs plus I should be OK. I made it fine though security checks and took the tram from Terminal E to C where I ran into the whole Texas A&M Women's Basketball Team, which is on their way to Italy to play a few friendly games before returning to the states for hopefully a great season this year (which the usually have). I had got to time to talk to a few of the coaching staff including Coach Blair, who is a great guy! When I boarded my seat was all the way in the back seat 44D, it wasn't that bad but I after watching one movie, A Thousand Words, which was OK in my opinion, I had to go to sleep basically until we landed in Newark where I have an 3+ hr layover till I connect to Istanbul. The layover in Newark wasn't bad at all but I have concluded that I don't really like United as a company based on their system involving payment for emergency row seats and me now having to look forward to a 10+ hr trip to Istanbul with no stops, I knew my body will be hurting and I will be sleeping a lot to avoid feeling the pain, which is a waste to me because I will be missing out on some really good movies :-( . Well this shows me how the Lord works in mysterious ways because they just gave me an exit row seat, when they saw how uncomfortable I was but that was very nice of them! So the good news is I'm going to watch a lot of movies :-) .
Well I didn't watch any movies because I slept perhaps the whole time on the plane, I don't know why I got tired of a sudden but it was a smooth flight all the way to Istanbul, Turkey where I had to stand in a super long line to get clearance for passport then go claim my luggage and met Ferhat, who was with the team picking me up from the airport. He is a really nice guy that is telling me all about Istanbul, Bursa and just Turkey in general, we drove from the airport to the faster ferry to try and get to Bursa but because Ramadan was coming to a close the traffic was insane and the therefore the ferry was packed, we continued to the slower ferry which was our last resort and we ran into the same problem. We decided to make the drive which is a little less the 4 hours.
Well we arrived in Bursa, safely thank God and I was taken to my home which was very nice! I'm happy to be in Turkey, Good Night and keep you guys updated on what's going on this side of the world!
